Brief Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arrival: Guwahati

    Meeting and assistance upon arrival at International airport Guwahati. Guwahati situated on the banks of the Brahmaputra is the largest town in the state of Assam and also a gateway to other parts of this region. Upon arrival check into the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.

  • Day 02: Guwahati / Pasighat

    DRIVE: Guwahati to Pasighat 560 Km almost 12 Hrs drive by car (Train also available)

    After breakfast commence drive to Pasighat. Situated at 155 meters, with its scenic splendours Pasighat is Arunachal’s oldest town and abounds in natural beauty & has rightly been called as photographers delight: it is a land to have a rendezvous with Mother Nature in her purest form. With its beautiful hillside and lush-green river valleys inhabited by a galaxy of tribes, the area is a tourist’s delight.

  • Day 03: Pasighat / Jengging

    2690 FT

    Today our drive is on the rough road along the Siang River to Jengging. En route we will visit the Adi Minyong village which is still very well preserved and one of the most authentic of the Adi tribes. We will also walk on the traditional cane bamboo and cable suspension bridge which is still used.

  • Day 04: Jengging / Tuting

    DRIVE: 08/09 HRS; ALTITUDE: 1493 FT

    After breakfast we will take the rough but scenic drive to Tuting, the last motor able Indian town & base of our trekking. Overnight at the Inspection Bungalow/ Hotel.

  • Day 05: Tuting / Kugging

    ALTITUDE: 2786 FT.; 05 HRS. TREK

    After breakfast we begin our trek to Kuging village crossing the Siang River over the suspension bridge and crossing the Adi Village of Jido and Ngamying. It is a nice trek among terraced fields and along river Nyigong/Yangsang Chu, with one climb to reach Kugging, from where we will be making the ascent towards the lakes. Upon arrival stay at local house or tents.

  • Day 06: KUGGING / SOIT Camp/ MAABI (option of staying one more night at the village to get acquainted with the porters etc)

    Altitude: 7205 FT; Trek from Kugging to Soit 6 hr; to Maabi 8 hr

    After breakfast we will start with an uphill climb from the village through some dry rice and maize cultivated area in to the lush sub-tropical forest; the initial climb from the village to a rest place called ‘ Pagang’ is quite steep with the trail resembling almost a dry steep stream, till we reach Pagang. Then onwards the climbs are more gradual till we reach Soit camp. This camp has a small area for pitching up tents but we can spread around and there is a shelter made by the locals which comprises of a wooden shelter with tin/ aluminum sheets for the roof. Overnight at the camp.

  • Day 07: Soit/ Maabi / Nyungchak

    Altitude: 7925 FT;

    Today we will have a short day with few uphill walks along the ridge providing a panoramic view of the Tibetan mountain range. The forest here is filled with Rhododendrons.

  • Day 08: Nyungchak / Kanebengo

    Altitude: 10900 FT;

    Today we will walk mostly along the ridges with a mixture of gradual uphill and downhill walk in the forest full of Rhododendron and Pine. If the weather is clear one can also see the Chinese villages in the distance. The terrain starts to change from here to barren and rocky. Enjoy the view of the mountain ranges of Tibet.

  • Day 09: Kanebengo / Pao Lipik

    Altitude: 11959/12000 FT;

    We leave the alpine forest behind to the barren land with the beautiful view of the many lakes as we trek around. The landscape minus any vegetation is still breathtaking with only shrubs of Rhododendron. The walk is gradual going uphill and downhill. The height of the place can tire one down easily so care must be taken.

  • Day 10: Pao Lipik / Medagong/ Dhana Kosa

    Altitude: 13123 FT;

    After breakfast we depart for the sacred lake, Dhana Kosa. We walk along the barren ridge with Rhododendron shrubs till a steep climb to reach the ridge from where we will have the beautiful view of the Tetapori region. The landscape here forms a fully opened lotus. Beautiful view of the Tibetan ranges including the Namche Barwa. Dhana Kosa is the sacred Lake with the Tseta (the heart of the world) Island. Buddhist pilgrims trek hard to reach this place and have a sight of this sacred lake with the Tseta. According to the ancient Pemako guide book, upon merely seeing this place one’s obscurations of knowledge will be cleared and negative Karma accumulated over a thousand eons will be purified.

  • Day 11: Dhana Kosa (Holy Circumbulation) (Guru Rinpoche Day) *Optional

    The holy Dhana Kosa is believed to be surrounded by 108 small lakes spread out in the mountain with more then half the lakes in Tibet. Today we will circumambulate some of this many special lakes to gain some Tantric powers, clear all your sins, the good health lake, super natural power of self protection, etc.

  • Day 12: Dhana Kosa / Wangchen Phukpa

    Altitude: 13225 FT;

    After breakfast we will ascend for an hour to come to the mountain ridge and continue the gradual climb and a down hill walk crossing Tetapori, where Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambava) is said to have hidden many treasures. Continue our trek on the shrubs of Rhododendron and wild flowers with gradual ascend and descend to reach our campsite at Wangchen Phukpa. Here one feels on top of the World. Musk Deer, Ibex, Takin, Mountain Goat, Red Panda and many different species of birds can be sighted easily in this area. The most common sight is that of the tail-less rat locally called the ‘Saray’.

  • Day 13: Wangchen Phukpa / Dungchen Droma

    Altitude: 12500FT

    After breakfast we will continue our trek crossing big rock boulders being brought down by the snow and continue on the forest of Pine trees and Rhododendrons. The walk on the ridge makes one feel as if walking on a cloud. On a clear day, one can view the Tibet Mountain Ranges. Continue on the beautiful downhill trail to enter the thick bamboo covered area till our camp site.

  • Day 14: Dungchen Droma / Tashi Droma

    Altitude: 4663 FT

    A steep descend through the thick forest full of Orchids, wild flowers and bamboos brings us down from 12500 ft to 4663 ft. Because of the thick vegetation and direct sunlight, the ground is wet and slippery. The steep descend ends at River Jiang Chu where we cross a cane bridge to reach our camp site. A dip in the river is a good way to wash away the tiredness.

  • Day 15: Tashi Droma / Tashigang Village

    Altitude: 3771FT

    After breakfast we will depart for Tashigang village, the first village in 10 days. The route is along the River Jiang Chu and it is a mixture of gradual uphill and downhill walk but very slippery ground. Our friends ‘leeches’ also join us here on the route, so we need to welcome them with precautions. After 04 hours of our trek, we will reach the beautiful village of Tashigang (16 houses 200 people).

  • Day 16: Tashigang Village / Deva Kota / Mankota

    After breakfast a steep descend over some big boulders of rocks, crossing the cane bridge and climbing 559 steps takes us to the Devakota Temple. The Devakotta Mountain is the clear light realm of Dakinis and Deities of the Mother Tantra, inseparable from Dumatala in Uddiyana. It is the dwelling place of Chakrasamvara with his 725 accompanying deities, as Guhyasamaja and his retinue, where guardians and Dharma protectors as numerous as stars in the sky vigorously engage in Dharma activities. After visiting the monastery, we will descend the steps (559 of them) to ascend towards the village of Mankota where the villagers are always friendly & welcome all.

  • Day 17: Mankota / Kugging

  • Day 18: Kugging / Tuting

    Altitude: 1493 Ft / 07 Hrs. Trek

  • Day 19: Tuting / Jengging

    Altitude: 1493 FT After breakfast drive back to Jengging. Overnight at the Circuit House.

  • Day 20: Jengging / Pasighat

    After breakfast drive back to Pashighat. Overnight at the Circuit House

  • Day 21: Pasighat / Dibrugarh

    06 Hours Drive

    After early breakfast we will depart for the Ghats to take the ferry ride across Brahmaputra to reach Dibrugarh. The leisurely cruise for 05 – 06 hours along the river gives an insight to the visitors on how the fisherman families live in Assam. Assistance upon arrival in Dibrugarh. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 22: Dibrugarh Departure (Flight)

    After breakfast transfer to the airport for the flight to Point of destination.

Booking Policy

  • 25% of the tour expenses is to be deposited with ADVENTURA at the time of booking. This deposit along with an invoice from ADVENTURA on receipt of such an amount will be considered the confirmation of the booking.
  • The full payment for the tour needs to be paid 30 days prior to departure

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations will be subject to cancellation charges.
  • Cancellations have to be intimated to ADVENTURA in writing and by mail.
  • We will keep 15% of total amount on cancellation.
    Cancellation between 20 days prior to departure will be charged 50% of tour expenses.
  • Cancellation between 15 days prior to departure will be charged 75% of tour expenses. Cancellations made from 10 days to day of departure will be charged 100% of the tour expenses.
  • Cancellation by ADVENTURA in the unforeseen eventualities of disaster, war, riots, political or industrial unrest like Airline operators strike or any other force majeure (forces outside our control), it may be necessary to cancel the tour in the best interests of our clients. In such an eventuality our clients will be informed as soon as possible. The expenses borne by the clients will be refunded in full. We will also provide you with an alternate set of tour dates.
  • ADVENTURA does not own places of accommodation (hotels, resorts) for its clients. While we do exert influence for the service providers to adhere to the utmost quality, the ultimate responsibility for the service is with the Hotels themselves.
  • ADVENTURA will not refund the booking amount for entry refused due to VISA or health factors, such cancellations will be guided by the cancellation policy.

Note & Important

  • All hotels in Arunachal Pradesh are non-star category.
  • Guests with adventurous mind should travel Arunachal Pradesh.
  • Room heaters may not work in Arunachal Pradesh due to voltage fluctuations.
  • In this region there are no relevance between the distance and time travelling as it depends upon the conditions of roads and congestion of traffic.
  • Mobile services may not be active in all destinations. Pre-paid roaming and International roaming connection does not work in this region.
  • Credit Cards / Traveller’s cheque are not freely accepted.
  • Every effort will be made to maintain the itinerary, in view of local strikes, landslide etc., which are beyond our control all schedule and itineraries are subject to last moment changes and any additional cost, will be borne by the guests directly.
  • For Arunachal Pradesh tours, all Indian Tourists require ILP (Inner Line Permits). ILP are issued from Guwahati. Tourists need to send us their copy of Identity & address proof such as Driving License or Passport. Permit process are two to three working days.

Note: To Go to Arunachal Pradesh Indian National require Inner Line Permit. To issue the permit we require Adress Proof, Identity proof and 02 copies of Passport size photographs of every person. It takes 03 official days to prepare.
