Itinerary

  • Day 01: Dibrugarh

    On your arrival at the Dibrugarh airport you will be met by your guide and further transferred to a guest house in a Tea estate. Dibrugarh is the second largest city in Northeast India and is well connected via airways, railways and road.

  • Day 02: Dibrugarh to Roing

    Roing is the district headquarters of the Lower Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh. A small town, nestled at the foothills of the easternmost end of the Himalayas. This is a land of dense forested hills spanning all the way to China and Myanmar on the North, East and South whereas the mighty Brahmaputra valley and its main tributaries lie to your west. The local Idu Mishimi people are generally animist and revere nature and speak a tongue which is listed among the endangered languages list.

    The plan is to make our way to the banks of the Lohit river at Dholla. After crossing the river which includes an hour long ferry transfer, we finally reach the starting point of our cycle tour.

  • Day 03: Roing to 40 Kilo

    The first day of cycling takes us from Roing the district headquarters of the Lower Dibang Valley into Mishimi hill proper. Once out of Roing, it is going to be relentless climb into the fold of Eastern Himalayas. During today’s ride we will gain around 1600 meters while covering a distance of 40 kms. From today, you will come across “Mithun Gates” along the road – these are gates on the road built to keep Mithuns – a semi domesticated breed of Bison from straying.

  • Day 04: 40 Kilo to Hunli

    Today will be a generally relaxed compared to the steep climb of yesterday despite the fact that we will be crossing the highest motor able pass of Mishimi Hills – the Mayodia pass. Although its elevation is just 2655 meters, you can expect snow if you travel during winter to early spring. We will climb uphill for the first part of the day, gaining an elevation of about 750 meters within 17 kms till Mayodia pass and there on its generally downhill till our overnight camps near Hunli.

  • Day 05: Hunli to Karo

    Starting from Hunli on fairly broken roads we ride through high altitude rain forests – typical of Mishimi Hills. We will be riding deep into Debang valley filled with many short but steep climbs. We will pass through quite a few Idu Mishimi villages along the way. You will notice an increase in frequency of Mithun gates. Our destination for the day is a campsite in the village of Karo.

  • Day 06: Karo to Amboli

    Today is a beautiful yet tough day of riding. All through the day we will be riding along Deban and Dree river which offers breathtaking views. However, numerous small landslides and patches of gravel road makes it fairly tough going. Today’s climb is longer than previous days and coupled with bad road conditions, it will be the most challenging day of the entire ride.

  • Day 07: Amboli to Anini

    The last day of cycling is fairly short one. However it is going to be a constant climb uphill from around 1200 meters to almost 1700 meters. The road conditions are however much better than the previous day thus making it an easier climb.

  • Day 08: Anini

    Today will be a rest day after a week of travelling. You will be taken to Damben where you can enjoy the pristine valleys as well soak in local Idu Mishimi culture, enjoy a meal with the locals and learn about their customs and culture first hand.

  • Day 09: Anini to Roing

    Leaving early we head back to our camp in Roing. The drive will take you about 8hrs.

  • Day 10: Roing to Dibrugarh

    Another long day of travel to reach Dibrugarh which will be your port of departure. The journey which includes an hour long ferry ride will take about 6 hours to complete.

Booking Policy:

  • 25% of the tour expenses is to be deposited with ADVENTURA at the time of booking. This deposit along with an invoice from ADVENTURA on receipt of such an amount will be considered the confirmation of the booking.
  • The full payment for the tour needs to be paid 30 days prior to departure.

Cancellation policy:

  • Cancellations will be subject to cancellation charges.
  • Cancellations have to be intimated to ADVENTURA in writing and by mail.
  • We will keep 15% of total amount on cancellation.
    Cancellation between 20 days prior to departure will be charged 50% of tour expenses.
  • Cancellation between 15 days prior to departure will be charged 75% of tour expenses. Cancellations made from 10 days to day of departure will be charged 100% of the tour expenses.
  • Cancellation by ADVENTURA in the unforeseen eventualities of disaster, war, riots, political or industrial unrest like Airline operators strike or any other force majeure (forces outside our control), it may be necessary to cancel the tour in the best interests of our clients. In such an eventuality our clients will be informed as soon as possible. The expenses borne by the clients will be refunded in full. We will also provide you with an alternate set of tour dates.
  • ADVENTURA does not own places of accommodation (hotels, resorts) for its clients. While we do exert influence for the service providers to adhere to the utmost quality, the ultimate responsibility for the service is with the Hotels themselves.
  • ADVENTURA will not refund the booking amount for entry refused due to VISA or health factors, such cancellations will be guided by the cancellation policy.
